The Thanksgiving day of Dodogan
A Thanksgiving ritual by the people of Dunsun Dodogan will be held on Wednesday, 1 june 2011. The uniqueness of this ritual is Kirab Joddhang (the parade of bamboo stretchers holding the offering) The procession starts with communal prayer in the house of the village’s chief and proceeds to the local pond called Sendag Ayu where the Jodhang is given away to the crowd. The ritual ends with Keduri ( Eating Together the food offering)

Ceremony held on June 7, 2011, ceremony held in the Java langueage, enlivened with gising-gising Java. All participants of the ceremony using Javanese traditional clothes.

Traditional Ceremony Merti Code
Begin cleaning the river, spring decorating. Water is taken from 7 springs carried by the village elders and accommodated in “enceh patirtan”. Next in wine along with carnival heritage Kyai Ranumurti Spear (granting Sultan HB X) and “ Gunungan Boga “. Gunungan contested by the public.

Traditional ceremony is held to memorized the journey of Kyai Wsang Sanjaya and wife from Majapahit Kingdom to Gendangan village safety. It is held by the people og Gedangrejo, Karangmojo, Gunungkidul.

Mantub Thanksgiving Day
A thanksgiving ritual called Merti Dusun Mathub constitutes an expression of the local people’s thankfulness to God for the safety and the daily food the have got in the past days. It will be carried out on Saturday, 5 June 2011, in the surroundings of Mantub, in Baturetno village of Banguntapan Sub-district in Bantul.
