TRADITIONAL CEREMONY OF SAPARAN KALI BUKO
Saparan kali Buko is a traditional celebration held by the people of kalirejo , Kulonprogo. This ceremony relates to the pilgrimage story of Sunan Kalijaga and his followers when he spread Islam at Kulon Pogo. In that pilgrimage moment they took a rest in Kalirejo and ate together as a pray the prosperity of the commuinity.

The local people of Wonokromo , in Pleret Sub District of Bantul , hold a traditional rite expected to reject any disease and other calamities, and pusposed to thank God for His mercy. The people plan to hold it in Tuesday night,17 January 2012.

TRADITIONAL CEREMONY OF REBO PUNGKASAN
Rebo pungkasan is traditional ceremony held by the community living around Bendung (dike) Kayangan at Pendoworejo , Girimulyo, Kulon Progo on the last Wednesday on Javanese Month of Sapar. This ceremony is kind of thanksgiving to the Almighty God.The community organizes “Kenduri Sewu Dulur” ( thousands of people having eat together ) and a traditional ritual of “ngguyang jarang” or washing the hore ( performed in traditional horse dance).
